After a decade as a performing artist, Nathan and his brother Tim (bandmate and AGD Co-Founder) garnered the necessary experience to transition to artist management and entrepreneurship.
“If I’m being honest with myself, I spent more time on the business of being in a band than I did focusing on the art we were trying to create. Don’t get me wrong, I can still write a good hook, but it wasn’t my main concern at any given moment,” says Dohse.
It was with this retrospective view in mind that Dohse began to work on the 350+ task curriculum instructing artists on the basic needs to execute content production and rollout. The curriculum reached completion in December of 2013 and Dohse launched the program with 4 beta artists the following Spring. Dohse believes there are five pillars that make up the entertainment industry; Performance, Branding, Publicity, Marketing, and Operations/Team Building. His goal with AGD Ent Co is to help artists by fostering artistic integrity and individuality while working towards revenue opportunities in the commercial music market.
